I have a little guy acting very wierd.

When he is moving around his tub he moves really normal. But when you pick him up or get him excited he will move on his side. He sits normal in a ball like any other corn. Just when excited it seems.

He is very small. 6 grams. Eats fine. Since I have had him home I started him on a ver small pinky that the head had got knocked off. And today he ate a small full pinky.

But this wierd twisting movement has me worried. I don't know if this matters too much. But he is an anery striped/motley definitively popped male.

Is it just an over excited reaction? Not enough muscle control because of his small size? Possibly stargazer?

He doesn't roll right over. He doesn't lift up and just stare off. In fact of the three I brought home that day he was the calmest. You can go in his tub and do whatever you have to do and he just lies there until you try to pick him up. then he is a little flighty. But does calm down. When he is in that flighty mode he will even lie on his side in your hand and look sideways at you. But not when just moving around in his tub as you look from outside.

Anyways, I hope that someone else can let me know or has some experience with it. I had plans for him when he grew up. But if he is a stargazer those plans will be done in. I will probably keep him as he functions and eats fine, just won't breed him if that is the concensus.

Thanks all.

Here is a picture from the first day I brought him home. we took the lid off and quickly snapped the picture before putting him in his new home. I should mention he is the most curious little guy I have ever seen. If you are moving around his tub he will come to the front to watch or listen for vibrations it would seem to find out what you are doing....Either that or he is ever hopeful it means feeding time. lol

I don't know?!?! It could be a couple of things. Maybe there is something neurological going on? Maybe he is still developing his muscles and when he gets excited it's causing him to roll a bit?

Do you have a pic of what he looks like when he is doing it?
