Hi Guys,

I haven't been around for a while, but SneakySnake is doing great. Thanks to you guys!

Here's my Question:

SneakySnake was on mats to begin with...but he grew, a lot! I am in the process of switching him over to a 75 gal. tank. I opted for Aspen shavings. He loves it, he tunnels all over the place.

Sorry to be so crude, but I can't find anything....get my drift? He was having a grand old time...for months.... in his little jungle gym, now that I have moved him into it almost permanently, Where is the Poo?

He is such a clean-freak, I can not see him doing it underground. He likes to wipe.

Do they actually go underneath???

(Not to worry, it's only our third day).

Cheers & LTA!

I don't think corns are particular as to where they go, just so long as they go...LOL...Just follow the tunnels and you will find the light, err, the dark spots...

When you use aspen for bedding it kinda makes "poop scooping" harder, because you have to search alittle more...Most of my snakes usally leave a deposit 2-4 days after they have eaten depending on their digestion rate...If you have not fed sneaky recently, you will most likely find nothing...

HTH,

I usually find it around the edges. They seem to stay more towards the outside instead of the inside of the tank or tub.

Me to dand, mine seem to "drop" around the edges of the tanks, usually between the side and an object like a rock or branch. I use aspen substrate too and I have yet to find any undeground droppings.

pooping scooping?
ummm I havent found any "debris" either, how long do snakes usualy take to go through the digestion process? (hes 5 weeks old)

Mine also go along the edge of the viv and something else. Usually someplace I have to remove objects to get to and clean (the little rotten critters.) :)

Mine likes to go on me,or in her feeding container. :)

One time she was about to get out of her feeding container with out pooing, she was moving out in to her viv, and she stopped looked at me took a dump and proceeded to exit the feeding area. Either she is not to fond of me, or just wants me to know she is pooing. :)

I find that my snakes will always go in the same spots so once you've had sneaky in the new viv for a while you'll probable find his 'toilet areas' so cleaning will be alot easier!

I always know when Nandi has gone to the bathroom. She keeps her tail upright like a little flagpole a long time :D When i see that i just need to look where she just came from and i can clean it up. It's so funny to see :D I'll take a picture next time i catch her do that.

Really funny 5 Bandit! We're both from NC and having the same snake with the same name! I find "my" Sneaky snake goes on the cage carpet I have on the warm side of the viv. You'll get used to it and know when he's ready, after they get bigger, you may actually hear them do their "thing". It's really disgusting, but at least you know they are healthy!!!!!
