I have read (on this forum) that the female should be about 35 in long before breeding, but about how big around should she be?

My female is about 35 inches, but she doesn't seem as wide as some of the pictures I have seen. She has been fed regularly, once a week, and she eats adult mice (although they seem like small adult mice) and she is about 2 years old.

good question

i would like to know as well, mine in 1 1/2" in girth. is that good? to me it seems that it would depend more upon the girth rather than length, i have had females that were only 1/2" but were 4' and i have had a WC female that was 72" and was 2" in girth.
great topic, never thought of it before!
