Hey everyone,

After a three week hiatus, I am finally back to posting! :D

After a few stressful weeks, I finally brought my first home! :)

In my new house, I have an outside Florida/Sunroom. Does anyone have something like this? I am just wondering about keeping my snakes in that room. Any suggestions??

Where in Florida do you live? also is the room like a screened in porch or is it a normal room. I have a florida room and its not screened. there is a door between it and the rest of the house. This room stays colder than the rest of the house, its weird.

:-offtopic Congratulations on YOUR new viv! I moved last June from my 1st to 2nd (hopefully last) house. everything went smooth as silk and it was STILL one of the most stressful things I've ever done. No regurgs though, I was able to keep every thing down.

Good luck with the new snake room!

Florida room

Ah Howie, the title of your post makes me long for home! I haven't heard that phrase in 10 yrs! LOL
When you say outside you mean it is not attached to the house? I.e. central heating or air? What you might want to do is set up a digital thermometer in the area of the room that you want to set up your snakes, and monitor the temps over the next week to get an idea of highs, lows, and average.
Congrats on the new house!

Thanks everyone!

We will be moving in our new home in the middle of next month. It is a outside enclosed sun room that is 20x15 in length. It is attached to the house and you get in either thru the kitchen or outside doorway. There is no air conditioning in that room, but it does have screen windows throughout and a ceiling fan. You can also close the screened windows if it gets to cold in there. I personally think he room will be in the 75-80 degree range in the summer and with the UTH it should be OK. I will check the temps before I do anything but I just wanted to know if anyone had such a room.

BTW, I am not moving to Florida just yet. The new house is still in PA. :)
