Sunglow bloodred

Last year I bought an adult Sunglow male (which was actually offered to me as Hypo female) and I bred him this year to a female normal (very axantic looking normal) and the clutch has yielded a few animals that look like they may be "het" (outcross) bloodred. The belly pattern of my male doesn't SCREAM bloodred outcross, but some of the babies do. Has anyone here ever done this combo? Sunglow Bloodred that is.

sunglow is an amel that has been specifically bred to lack white in its coloring. combining them with bloodred will produce amel bloodred aka fire. by using a sunglow it may be possible to produce "brighter" fires, but i dont think sunglow blood would be right. they would still be just be fires.

I wasn't trying to name a new morph, I simply named the morphs that are in this cross. Anyway, I'm curious to see if anyone has worked that cross yet, and what their results were.

This is the Sunglow in question:

I hatched out babies with odd belly patterns like that and no bloodred in their history.

I have also seen many with that belly pattern that have no bloodred in their genetics.

I agree, he is pretty nice.

I was already going to keep a pair of the babies so I figured why not hold on to one more female to breed back to dad. I'll be putting the little het male with one of his sisters and the mother, so to see if mom's color can be hereditary or not. I'm not keeping my hopes too high, but what the hell, would be interesting. As far as the bloodred gene possibly in the sunglow male, it would be bonus, but I really don't care if he's not a bloodred outcross,
I don't even know what I'll be putting him with in 2007. but most likeley not that same female.
