Cat piss should do the trick. :sidestep:

I've only been musked by a corn once. I lathered up with soap and toothpaste, and it seemed to take care of it.

This is going to sound weird, but what do you think it smelled like to you? When my normal did this it was just a teeny bit, but I did smell it and it sort of burned my nose. To me it smelled like old dirty leather. Like from an antique shop or pawn shop. :crazy02: I know I'm weird. :crazy02:

Smelled like REALLY old dirty runners. Toothpaste didn't work, lemon juice didn't work... surgical scrubbies did =)

To me, I think it smells like funkified celery that's been left in the fridge too long. Definitely not something I want to eat, which I believe is the point. My Bairds have more of a burnt plastic smell. I think Black Rat is the worst, its like cat pee with a hint of skunk.

You must have a more mal-odor sensitive nose than I, I just washed with lye soap and voila, gone. And yes for ye old fogies, I still use lye soap. Best darn stuff ever made. I get it at the health food store, a local lady makes it from local ingredients.

I have never found lemon juice to work on any odor. White vinegar might help, as you set it out when you're frying to absorb odors. Or microwave it to remove burnt smell odors. You might try swabbing the affected area and see how that works.

Tomato juice is reported to work on skunk musk. I wonder if it would work on snake musk as well?

Never seen tomoato juice actually work... have seen a LOT of pink dogs and cats that smell like tomato-y skunks tho! LOL

I used lye soap hehe.. could still smell it... and yes, I use lye soap too hehe.. I make it myself ^,^

My bro used lava soap, that worked for him.. am allergic to it tho (its soap for mechanics.. gets rid of grease and oil)

Never thought to try my "Skunk-Off" shampoo... that might have worked... works to remove skunk musk from pets =)

Soap made using lye (a VERY strong acid) and a fatty base. Its the "original" soap... much more powerful cleaning agent than todays store bought soaps which are full or moisturizers and lanolins and all kinds of stuff soap doesn't need.

Ever see Fight Club? The soap they make is lye soap hehe, and the powder that burns the guys hand is lye =) Though I must say, I use olive oil and other vegitable oils.. not human fat like in Fight Club LOL.

I get mine at the hardware store... give me a few mins and I'll post a link to a site with how to make the soap =) I'd suggest olive oil soap first as its cheap to make, and its great for your skin =) Basically you need: a crockpot to make it in, lye, olive oil, liquid glicerin, and anything you want to add (almond shells for exfoliants, herbs and spices for scent and dye or perfume if you really want it).

Heres a link to a great site =) Soap Making Site Mine are all just lye, oil, glicerin, exfoliant product (usually apricot seeds ground up) and some vitamins and green tea extracts =)

I haven't been musked yet (whew), but I do raise goats and the males can get pretty offensive... and if you pet them you smell offensive too! Best thing I've found so far is to put several squirts of a clear hand sanitizer, along with a dab of liquid soap and lather well.... takes the odor out quickly with no aftersmell! Vinegar does work, but then you smell like a salad. They sell stuff at feed stores called Buck Off just for that, and skunk off was already mentioned. Liquid dish soap words pretty decently too....

Hmmm. Maybe you're not using the right brand. I use Crest Scope Whitening with Tartar and Musk Control.
