Hi,

Isaac's tail has gone dark brown at the very tip - perhaps 1mm if not less... has anyone else had experience with this have any tips, will it drop off on it's own or is there a way to get it healthy again?

Thanks all
Sammi

There is probably a small amount of stuck shed on the tip of his tail. It is constricting the blood flow and the tip of the tail is dying.

Idk if this product is available to you in the UK http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Repti...UTF8&qid=1375627790&sr=8-2&keywords=shed+ease but it works amazingly well and you just spritz the problem area.

If that's not an option, get a bowl or something with a lid, put an old wash rag in the bottom and add enough cool water** to make the wash rag soppy wet. Pop your snake in, put the lid on and leave him for 15-20 mins or so. There should be plenty of air for that short amount of time. The water combined with the roughness of the wash rag should help the stuck shed slough off.

**The water should not feel warm to you, if it does it's probably to warm for your snake. The ideal water temp should be 83F or approx 28C
