Tank heat?

redneck

Mmmm BEER.
So when i set my tank heat is it suppose to be on the glass with a uth or in the bedding or on top? the air temp during the day with my lamp is 85 on the hot side and 72 on the cool. at night the cool side gets to 68 to 71 depending on the house temp. Am i doing it right? any advise would be great

Well, if you are using a lamp then you should measure the temp at substrate level. No reason to measure under the substrate if you aren't using a UTH.

If you're gonna use a UTH it should be on the glass on top of where the UTH is stuck. Thats the way I understand it, hopefully someone with more experience can confirm that:)
