does a cornsnake absolutely positively require a temperature gradient?? or will it do fine without one?? Does anyone keep their snakes like that, with one constant temperature??? because its really hot where i live and the temp inside the tank (without any heating) is usually around 85. therefore i cant create a cool side
does anyone have any suggestions??????
thnx

ok let me rephrase that. I'm planning on buying a cornsnake but i just came across a problem. I have an empty tank with no heating devices. its really hot hot during the summer so the temp in the tank is in the low 80's, therefore i cant have a warm and cool side, its like the entire tank is a warm side. i am planning on buying an undertank heater and using it during the cooler months to create the warm/cool sides, but what should i do during the summer? Should i just turnoff the UTH and have the entire tank at about 80 degrees during the summer? IS there anything else i can do?? please help me out.
thanks

Yeah I'd say it's ok to turn off the heat in the summer. I live in NY and it ranges from mid 70's to mid 80's in my room and my corns don't have a problem with regurgitating or anything.
