Tepesh is in Blue

So I have seen everyone talking about their cornsnakes being in blue and have been waiting. Well Tepesh is finally in blue! I was supposed to feed him last night but he wasn't out and I was so tired from closing at work I put it off. So tonight he still wasn't out so I started looking for him curious he wasn't out cruising since I was a day late. I found him buried up in his moss and is completely in blue.

Should I make up some moist moss and put it in his warm hide? I am not going to mess with him but it can be there if he needs it. He is in the dry moss behind the cork flat in the corner of his viv.

I feel like a proud mom I know it is silly but I am lol

You're not silly; you're a proud parent! I adore Ayasha! I'm just getting to know Gypsy, but she loves to hang out while I grade English papers. I'd love to see a picture of Tepesh when he's all fresh and new!

I wouldn't put the damp moss in his warm hide. He still needs his warm hide as is. You can make a humid hide with damp sphagnum moss and put it in the middle or cool side.

Congrats. You've got to know that you're not the only one who gets excited around here when their snake is getting ready to shed. There wouldn't be so many posts on it if it weren't a big deal. No, not silly at all.

Yeah, I left everything the way it is an will get a small container today to put in his viv with the moss.

I wonder when he will shed? I have been so busy the last few days but I know he has been hiding. Last week he was out almost everyday after eating. This week nothing lol

if his eyes are blue (milky) they will stay that way for about 2 to 5 days. Then his eyes will clear up. You might think he already shed, but no, not yet. After the eyes go clear, he should shed within a few days. (I've seen it take anywhere from 1 day to about 2 weeks after clearing up) but it's usually within a few days.

I have had my girl for about a month now and I can't wait for her to go blue lol. No idea when she last shed so this will be a total surprise loll

You can miss the "Going Blue" part. I actually missed one of my snake's Blue Phases one time. Apparently he went blue and then cleared up in a day or two and I never even noticed it. I was surprised to find a shed in his cage.

I know what you mean lol Mine was at 29g when I got him so he had already shed once but I had no idea when.

Yeah! I haven't seen him yet don't want to mess with him until he shows himself.

Thanks! The yellow is bright and I can't wait to see my little man grow up. I bet he is going to really stand out when he gets older. [emoji4][emoji216]
