There's a reality tv show in the UK, shown on channen 4, where there are a group of people who host dinner parties each day of the week in the hopes of winning a £1000 prize at the end of the week.

This is a clip from one of the recent episodes, the hostess has a Blood corn, which she brings to the table....

I think it was a comedy Mexican themed meal. I'm guessing a replica gun would be part of the bandito set dressing.
 
If I were trying to win money by hosting a dinner party, I certainly would not bring out my snakes. One reason was already highlighted in the video, another is because I realize not all people are comfortable with snakes. I would however let them know upfront that I do own snakes and would love to try and educate them about the snakes. AFTER DINNER!...LOL
