Think I found solution to my really cold house/low humidity issues

So Fluffy's viv is in my basement, not because I want to shut her away but because my basement is finished and where I spend the majority of my time when I'm home. Problem is that its COLD. Its underground on 3 sides, and even if I turned off the AC, resulting in my upstairs being obnoxiously hot, it still would be very cold in the basement. And my humidity wouldn't seem to raise above about 23%, even with the water bowl on the UTH, so I invested $30 in a warm mist humidifier. It's been plugged in since last night and it has raised her ambient air to 73! And humdity is now about 42%. SO I'm pretty happy. Except the humidifier is only a gallon, so I have to refill the darn thing every 12 hours. But if this continue to works I'll buy a nice one that has more capacity. But wanted to throw that out there to anyone with my problem, that it does work. And I'm guessing I don't have to worry about mold or anything forming because theres no condensation on the inside of the tank, just raised the humidity to a slightly more suitable level, especially now that's she's getting ready to shed any day...hopefully.
