Hi there, I've just hatched a clutch from pairing Classic het. lava, caramel, motley X Classic het. lava, caramel motley.
This is the first year I do this breeding and I'm a bit uncertain to tell if I got a Topaz.

I have some motleys, lavas and caramels buy there is one that looks like a very bright caramel (almost brownish). It actually reminds me of an amber.

Now I would expect that topaz-hatchlings would be really screaming bright but this isn't. I will try to post a pic of it tomorrow. I've looked around but I haven't found any pics of topaz-hatchling.

What do you guys things? Any good wadvice on how to identify a lava caramel?

Thanks for the answer Memphios! After I saw Jeff's critter I am pretty convinced that it's not a Lava I have here. It's probably just a bright caramel. Maybe a het-indicator?
 
Don't forget, male and female Lava's often look different, so is the confusion because you're looking at different colored hatchlings with the same dark ruby eyes? Separate them by sex, then look at them again ;) Also, would help seeing some pictures of your clutch...
