Hi, i have a question:
i have a yerling corn snake, that recently (when it started to shed) started tongue flicking a little weird. it's tongue
doesent retreat when it first touches an object (in most seen cases my hand), but it takes a couple of flicks
and then it retreats, but otherwise she is a healthy snake. i was wandering if its normal for corns to do that or is it a problem?

I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly, but is it like a pause while the tongue is out, or while the tongue is out it sort of vibrates then goes back in the mouth?

Snakes actually flick their tongues differently for different purposes. I can't remember which is which but there are times when snakes flick their tongues very quickly, very slowly, sort of vibrate it up and down, etc.

If you have not had your snake for awhile then maybe you haven't noticed this yet.
 
its vibrating. after i gave it a thought maybe she/he just needs a little bit more time to ''taste'' her enviroment. i've
had it since she/he was 2 weeks old.

Actually the tongue flicking means the he or she is attracted to you.. If you put your face directly in front of his or hers she will kiss you with her toy glue by flickering it all over the place. Now don't be alarmed this is just a show of affection, and if you happen to pull a Away when they're thou gruel flickering you then it will eat you,...... ANDNOW YOURE GOING TO DIE DA DA DA DA DA DA..... ITS A SONG.
