Hey can anyone tell me the temperature pulse and respiration of a healthy snake? I cant find it anywhere and I need it for an animal care assignment. Cheers.

I am not sure that there are any established parameters for "normal" TPR data in snakes. I expect there would be wide variables between species and season. Snakes being ectothermic, a body temp is going to depend on time of day, age of individual, and the season of the year at least. Pulse and respiration rate will change in direct relationship to body temperature.

I know that while I was in college we did collect body temperature data, correlated to time of day in desert iguanas. Whether this data or that of any other group ever became recorded anywhere for future reference, I can't say.

Thanks coyote, i did think for a snake it wouldnt be straight forward, i dont know how they expect us to find it...they dont even know half the stuff they tell us to find out it's insane! But oh well I'll figure something out. Thanks again
