This is my ultramel boy that I plan on breeding with my striped snow in a few weeks. He is from South Mountain and is het for butter.

By the way, he is not in blue, in fact he shed shortly ago. His belly is always "out of focus" looking...lol.. the only way I can think of describing it. Very muted looking.

Wow, he's really nice. I've never seen an ultra or ultramel in person, and I really haven't even seen that many photos. I'm surprised by how super-hypo he is on his dorsal side, but with a lot of black retained on the belly. I imagine that their looks are highly variable.

Thanks all for your compliments. Yes, I am sure that I will be posting pics of the results of his upcoming breeding.

Dean, yes, they are as variable as any morph, but of course, with "that look" that makes them distinquishable as Ultramels. Here are a couple other ones I have out of different lines. Both of these also come from South Mountain Reptiles. The redder one is a female that is the same age as the above male but just taking her sweet time growing. The orangy odd colored one is really neat, I like him. These pics are over two months old, I must take new ones of him. He is getting more yellow colored every shed.
