unusual coloration

I've had this one hatchling quite different than all others from same clutch.

It came from Okeetee x Hypo "A" Okeetee, het albino
The Okeetee is said F1, and I have never hatched anything but okeetees or normals from her, and I've tried many combinations.

This is the unusual baby that I kept because it was so dull colored(!) These pics were taken with no flash, and have not been altered.

It appears to be axantic or extremely hypoxantic, would that match any "known" cultivars? Like caramels? It's really brown on silver background, not orange. I know brown doesn't seem like the hottest color but I think it really looks great. I'm putting this animal in an amel project.

Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Its a very pretty. I like the soft white highlights it has. I would like to see a belly shot. :)

Very interesting.

It looks very much like the normals I hatch out of Miami and Miami cross lines. If it weren't sitting beside the nice Okeetee colored baby, I'd say it's just your average Miami phase. I doubt it's a simple recessive trait but it does seem odd to be so different from the rest of the clutch.

Is there ANY chance it is from different parents? I know sometimes I get things so scattered around I misplace an egg or put a hatchling in the wrong container.

Thats what I thought~ it looks a lot like the "normals" (still not sure they are normals and not Miami's) I get off of my "milk Snake Phase" male~ Here are some pics from his most recent clutch~

~ I'm pretty pleased with how nice his babies look! (In case you couldn't tell from all the pics! LOL!)

looks exactly like my miami did when she was younger. she didnt turn out to be a great miami but she fits the description to an extent. i think it'll end up being a nice looking normal that borderlines the miami description.

I have to say it does look quite like JM's 4th pic, and I guess milk phase would be a good description of the color (if we are talking eastern milks of course). It also looks like "corsnake00"'s pic, but less yellow. I don't think I would have mixed up clutches, but can't eliminate the possibility. However, it's the only one I have that looks like that in all my babies, so it's different any how ;-)

Recessive or not, and normal or not, I would like to isolate this coloration and produce more, I think they look very nice.

Clint - The other snake on the pic is not from that clutch, it looks like a weird motley or a bloodred outcross, but that one definately got mixed in with other clutches;-)

Here's another pic of the orange specimen, it's a nice animal too:

Thanks to all that replied, take care, Jean
