Dayoh
I just fed dayoh a new size prey, he got it down but now he is rubbing his face in the gravel and up against the wood and tank. Is this normal or did I hurt him? I am so scared, Please tell me if he's okay.

He is probably just resetting his jaws as they dislocate them to swallow a big meal, I wouldn't worry, just let him relax for a few days but keep an eye out for regurges, good luck mate x

I agree that he is most likely getting ready for a shed after a big meal, or resetting his jaws. Check his temperatures are ok, and leave him be to digest without stress :)

Snakes don't have arms or napkins to wipe their mouth's off with so they have to use whatever they can rub against.

Seriously though, I have notice a number of my snakes doing that after they eat. I don't think there is anything to worry about.

Thanks ya'll, its been an hour now and he is back to his normal sweet self. He isn't in shed mode right now so he must have just had a little trouble resetting. Another question if you don't mind, when i get my new snake can they live together, or would they be happier in sperate home's? I know two corns can stay together but is it healthy? And not knowing their sex's makes me more nervous. I am so careful with Dayoh, he is the best snake calm and content to held even during shedding, I feed him in his box and he doesn't even let go of my hand to eat. I wouldn't and couldn't replace him so i want him happy and healthy.
And if some one tells me how i will try to put a pic on of him. But I think they are to big.

I would recommend against joint housing - there are plenty of threads on this forum - do a search and read some of them.
Two main things to consider that you want to avoid are stress to the animals and early breeding.

Hi Dayoh, just picked up on something else from your first post - gravel isn't an ideal substrate for Corns really, There are a lot of risks of it being accidentally swallowed and causing blockages. Another search of this forum should find you some helful discussions - think most people opt for wood/bark chips or paper.

Glad to hear that your Corn is back to normal. I remember how scary it was everytime my first ones did something new!

It is digestable , meant for snakes , actually says is healthy for them if they eat it, is this not true? I always used fake grass untill i found this that says it okay, i used to be nervous about using anything he could ingest. Do you know more about the product being harmful then the bag and breeder say?

I can't remember the name, i will find out. It looks like little cystals, their is a dinosaure on the bag, i will get a name for you soon.

Sounds like VitaSand, Calcisand, or a similar product. I would not house any of my animals on it. It has been linked to impactions in bearded dragons. I use aspen bedding and have for nearly 15 years. It is inexpensive and has never caused me any problems.

Most of my little snakies seem to be 'wiping their mouths clean' after they have the pink half way to their stomachs so I figure it's pretty normal. I love it when they do one of their enormous yawns to reset their jaws...very cute!

:-offtopic Does anyone have a photo of their snake doing a big 'yawn'? I'd love to see one...it's the funniest thing!
