Absolutely - especially with such a young snake. When they are small, they might like to sort of "weave" between your fingers and settle down, or they may just be super active.

It's pretty rare to have a hatchling that young who stays still. My missing magma was extremely calm when handled, while her brother constantly flies through my fingers and threatens to leap to the ground. He only stops to decide if he wants to bite.

When do they usually start slowing down around what age? Or is this more of if/when the snake feels like slowing down for handling, as I usually have to keep my handling down under twenty minutes because mine is always seeking a way out of my hands and to the floor or couch, luckily he's very friendly as long as it's not feeding time lol

I think it really depends on the individual. The same brother I described above has calmed considerably in the last couple of months, and he isn't yet 30g. Tango really started to calm down when he was in the range of 30-40g, but he still likes to keep moving most of the time. Most of mine do really, though they will occasionally stop for a few minutes at a time.
