We Can't All Be Smart.
just a warning for yeah all, i no virus are made everyday. most of them are picked up by a virus scanner before they enter your computer though. the other day i got this stupid virus on my computer not knowing because no notification from the virus scanner (what was fully updated the day before)
anyway this virus got into my system. i uploaded some pictures to the net and made a post today still unaware of this virus. all of a sudden it triggered. m explorer.exe ended and started over and over again. i though hum i got an idea lets try click on virus scan? hum no luck explorer error it closed it down. i restarted everything looked ok. i click on anything explorer ends and starts again. hum now I'm getting mad. i reboot go into safe mode. hum same problem still strange i think. i went to my command prompt loaded virus scanner form there (success it works) virus scanning in progress it ends humm nothing picked up. ok this is strange., i think hang on system restore. done that hum same problem. only option left is reinstall windows. it turns out that when i was installing i noticed the boot sector had increased by a few MB. the virus was a boot sector virus. the only way to get rid of these virus is to delete the boot sector (this makes windows unbeatable) you need a full reinstall from BIOS. so i done just that. now computer works fine.

i don't want this one happending again so i set up the computer to how i wanted it and made a boot CD. now my PC will boot to just how it was last time when i get something like this again.

be warned boot sector virus cannot be detected once installed.

just thought id give yeah the heads up on my nice sunday of rest.
