visible spectrum for cornsnakes

ok so im delving into a building a few LED arrays for my terrariums, and want a moonlight style setup for my corn since he/she is most active at night, and this will be my test bed for my super indepth array for my poison dart frog setup.

what light spectrum's are visible to corn snakes?? i want the lighting to be visible to me but not to the snake so it is undisturbed at night, i know they sell blue incandescent bulbs as night lights for reptiles but does anyone know if that is actually a invisible spectrum to them and if so what color temp are they??

thanks

I believe the red spectrum is best. Its what I was told and I hope a more experienced member will come in here and confirm.

Red glass bulbs (infra red) are fine. Blue light from LEDs are perfect for moonlight wavelengths - they are made that way. You can find those in some hoods made for marine aquariums, reef tanks etc.

ok so did some digging on various sites(herp, reef, orichid) and seems the general consensus is 460nm~475nm is moonlight so thats what im going for. i will keep everyone updated, should be able to build a basic setup with just a timer for under 30 bucks. this is phase one of the project, phase 2 will be a hood with a microcontroller that simulates the actual sunrise, midday, sunset, lunar cycle, plus the microcontroller can run work as my thermostat, humidty sensor, run dehumidifier, or run misters, foggers, ect for a tropical setup, air circulation fans. and just found out if i add a second board to the microcontroller it can txt or tweet me when my cage is out of set parameters. and all for about 150 bucks. plus hood which im making myself. this wont be for the cornsnake but for my PDF planted viv. i will post more as the project continues.
