I like to use the Exo-Terra vines and plants from my local pet store to create sturdy climbing structures which the snake can hide in. Also for suspended hides I find putting a paper towel roll between the ends of a vine suspends it nicely and still lets me easily replace it when it gets soiled. Spur loves his paper towel roll. I like the reptile dens from Exo-Terra as well. Spur spends most of his time in his. Other then that a cool way to make hides and decorations is to use aquarium glue and rocks to make the structure you want.
I just purchased everything ( except the critter keeper itself) for my son's setup - online at www.reptilesupply.com - The prices for the decorations were close to half price of what they wanted in the local petstores..and had alot more to choose from at one place too...and what I payed for shipping was about what tax would have been for me locally. there are other online stores like www.lllreptiles.com ...those are the 2 I remember from my searches becasue they had the best selection of things.
I buy a lot of my stuff at Reptile Shows. I also live fairly close to "That Fish Place / That Pet Place" located in Lancaster, PA. They have a HUGE online store and TONS of stuff to buy. Here's their link: http://www.thatpetplace.com/
They are a highly reliable place to deal with. If you're ever in the area and get a chance to stop in their Retail store, be sure to do it! They have a separate "Reptile Room" for their retail of livestock. This room houses all their reptiles and amphibians for sale in some 100 + Exo Terra display vivs. REALLY COOL!
