viv setup question...

Ok finally got to purchase all I needed for the new snake. Fedex should be dropping off all my equipment for the viv sometime today, and I'm going to pick up the slithery new addition to our little family tues. Picked out a corn from our local mom and pop pet shop last week and they are being kind enough to hold onto her for me until I get the viv setup and temps right! So my question is placement of the probe for the thermometer. Is it better to be placed in the hide loose or should it be stuck directly to the glass above the uth? And any ideas on how to keep it on the glass would be great.

From what I have read and been told by others on here it should be directly on the glass centered in the middle of the uth. I used hot glue because it comes off the glass easy and the uth should never be hot enough to melt the glue.

I have heard people say they use different types of super glue or silicone which should all be safe after they dry as long as they are odorless when your little guy goes in.

The thermostat and thermometer probes should be on the glass over the UTH. You can secure them with hot glue (safe as soon as it's dry, within minutes) silicone sealant (safe as soon as as you can't smell it anymore, usually several days) or BluTack works really well too.
