Just wanted to share updated pics of two of our babies from our first-ever clutch! We sold the other clutchmates, and our son kept one for his first pet, but we also kept these two for yearlong study in my hubby's and my respective classrooms. They're home on vacation now so we can contrast them.
Hubby chose to keep our classic dainty runt baby #4, now named Zoltan. He was half the size of his siblings when hatched, and remains half their weight, but is growing just as well proportionately. He's up to eating full size pinkies as opposed to just heads. Meanwhile, amel baby #2, now named Gru (because he was a bad guy that turned good, though sometimes his behavior is still despicable
), is growing well and is eating two pinkies at a time. As soon as I'm out of frozen pinkies he'll move on to fuzzies.
Here they are yesterday--babies are 3 1/2mos old.
Close up of Zoltan's coloring after his last feeding:
Blurry close-up of Gru's coloring (pic is from when he went on a field trip to a reptile show):
Eventually I should add a pic of Izzy, my son's amel keeper--but since she resides in his room, she's a bit less accessible.
Those are my grandsnakes!
