Hello, I need to know how to waterproof a wooden cage. Does any one know the easiest easiest and cheapest?

Also, I am gonna get a timor monitor and another corn snake. Wich do you think I should get first?

I've never had to waterproof anything, but I've heard of most people using polyurethane. Make sure that whatever you use has dried thoroughly, over a few days, before putting any animal in the cage.

I don't know anything abuot Timor monitors, but I'd never recommend that anyone get a monitor, unless it was a Savana. Those are the only ones that I've ever heard about that were semi-tame.

A timor is a dwarf monitor that only gets about 26 inches and eats nice crickets quail and what eaver it can swallow. Read up on thwm there really interesting and dont get 4 feet like savanahs. They usually hangout around 2 feet.

Hey Jake, I voted for the monitor. I've never kept them but from reading I've done they are usually pretty smart. I think they can even be "trained" to a certain extent. That, along with the monitor personality, makes me think they'd be great pets.
