We lost our boy

We have no clue as to why, but last Friday we found our boy, George, passed away. He was such a lovely boy and never any type of trouble. We won't be getting another snake as I don't want to hurt anything else. Anyone got any words of healing for me? Thanks, friends.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost George, and I can sense your sadness. Don't assume you did anything wrong. If you feel like discussing how you maintained him, perhaps one of us can give you an opinion. I hope you will reconsider having another Corn in the future. Most of us who have kept snakes for years have lost one or two. Even veterinarians are sometimes helpless to tell us what is wrong with our snake.

Im so sorry for your loss. George was beautiful.

I agree, don't assume it was your fault.

I have a snake right now that has an undetermined health problem. She has the best of everything including veterinary care and still she has a problem. Sometimes stuff happens.

Thanks, friends. What scares us in terms of ever getting another one is that we had NO clue there was a problem or when the problem started. He didn't always eat each week and only skipped one week before death. Fresh water and clean enclosure. Not much to complicate, I suppose, but then again, I'm the one with the dead little fellow. Thanks again for the concern. I'll keep reading here to keep my knowledge current.
