when i took half the day off school today and came home my snake was on the very top of the plastic tree in its tank with half its body straight up looking at the heat lamp and just stayed like that till i lifted him up is he cold or just trying to get out the temp is around 80 -85

I don't use lamps now but when I used to I had a female anery who would love to climb up her tree and "bask" under her light for hours. even though temps were perfect everywhere. Sometimes I think they just like a little extra heat. Its perfectly normal! :)
