what do you do if it bites?

Since the wounds aren't usually that serious, you would probably just clean it with some anti-bacterial and bandage. ;)

and keep handling it even if it bites ... usually once they calm down they won't bite.... if its a hatchling this is def the case and the best thing it to handle it a lot

some corns just aren't very nice and have attitudes... but those seem to be less frequent

Keep handling it and mess with it's head too. It's the surest way to keep them good. All myine aren't biters now.

This guy lives in the Philippines and doesn't know what kind of snake he has. You may want to consider this fact before advising him on snake bites.

My advice? You'd better ID your snake BEFORE you attempt to handle it. You should probably release it where you caught it.

Another thing... this is a corn snake forum. Your snake is NOT a corn snake, so post all future threads in the "General Chit-Chat" subforum. Don't open a million threads either.

Corn bites are not a serious matter (and btw, I don't think bandages are required... ;) )

On this instance I agree with Dean. Your snake may be venomous - put it back. I was going to post on the ID thread, but then I saw this one and thought it was more relevant to my point.
