Hi I am having trouble deciding witch substrate to use. I am currently using four paws nature bark this was recomended to me because of the heating lamp and heating pad helps hold the heat. I also heard that astroturf is good substrate. Since this is my first snake Im not sure witch is better. Any good sugestons?
Thanks

I'd say aspen bedding is the best substrates to use!!! They are grea looking, easy to clean and cheap!!!

I vote for aspen!!!

I love paper towels, but if you want a more "natural" looking substrate, shredded aspen is wonderful and also smells nice.

Yeah, I've been using aspen, but it's getting kind of expensive, so I'm switching to cypress mulch after this bag's done :)

I use newspaper and paper towels. And I have been trying Aspen. I think aspen is a great choice, although for me it takes up more time and my snakes seem to crap under it making it hard to clean up. But it works for most people.

I like paper towel the best.
