Well, a creamsicle is a hybrid that also involves Emoryi blood. Most that I have seen tend to be very orange, but yours could be exhibiting more of an amelanistic corn appearance (with more reds). However, you probably want to stick with the original creamsicle label, because if there is any chance it has non-corn lineage, you would not want to breed and mislabel. He is very pretty!!

thanks. but he is pretty orange, if i get the chance tonight or something ill break out my moms camera and get proper pictures. although, who am i to say what is the right breed and what is not. i havent taken much time to look into the exact looks and stuff of the animal, i was thinking about breeding but the town i live in is like 8000 population lol, so my market is so tiny. i would just be over populating my room with corn snakes.

I agree stick with the Creamsicle, since a cream is emoryi rat and amel, she wasn't exactly wrong. My Creamsicle is yellow with peach saddles, Creams vary in color just like amels. The improtant thing is to keep the Creamsicle title in there since that is a hybrid.

Hmm by any chance was the pet store ruffins if so it was me you were talking to the other day. If it is then knowing what we get in the store i daught that it is a true creamsicle( highbrid). Also looking at even those not so great pictures it looks like a normaal amel(albino). I personaly have an amel i will post a picture of it here so you can see what one looks like.

Diane did you work there 6 months ago? Because this is a hot issue, calling it an amel by looks alone ???? It would always be better to err on the side of hybrid, especially if the snake will be bred.
Salty when you take better pics be sure to get shots of belly and a good one of head.

lol yep it was you i bet. i was just re checking, stratford ruffins, yeah, diane looks almost exactly as mine. thanks!,

do you ever get milk snakes in???

I was on maturnity leave 6 months ago but worked at the store for over a year before that. I also know that we have had issues before with the supplier telling us they are one thing and then turn out they are not. They use terms for color they shouldn't i know this the other workers don't since they don't know near as much as i do not that i am an expert on this. I bought a "hypo" from them three years ago before i worked there that i can tell you is not a hypo. We also had them sell us what was initialy sold to us as a corn that i knew off the bat as soon as i saw it was in fact either a king cross or full king. Also Diane is the snakes name not mine. I have never ever see a true creamcile come through this store.

No milk snakes yet. If you ever have any snake questions i recomend coming in on a Saturday and talk to me most of the other staff don't know much about snakes just the basics to get them by.

Oh about the king snake thing turns out i was right because they call to double check turned out they gave us an albino kingsnake instead they admitted the mistake and we changed the sign.

okay... my mom doesnt have her camera here so i am out of luck. but what would the belly of a creamsicle look like to an albino/

yep, i was there that day, i didnt see it in the tank though, was it taken out because you werent sure???? i was going to ask to see it but i never ended up. im going to be looking for another snake but im not sure what to get.

king snakes attack other snakes though do they not?

Ya king snakes will (but not always) eat other snakes. I have heared of ppl keeping them with other snakes without them killing, at least they hadn't yet, but none the less should never be done as it is very stressful for both and could wind up with one being dead. Though that shouldn't be a problem even though you have the corn snake since no matter what type you get they need a seperate tank. The king snake was there just hidding that day he is really cool looking, he/she has a neat pattern. It was about a month ago they we found it out that it was actualy a king snake a day or so after we got it in. If interested in another corn snake send me a pm. I have 11 corn eggs due to hatch around 1st of July so would be ready around beginning to midle of August.

"Thanks! ...and she is my favorite....so far. We'll see what some of our other combos produce in the future. Also in re:creamsicles, pay attention to the differences in ventral checkering (shape, placement, and number), subcaudal markings, and lateral blotches (especially these). WILD corns, emoryi, and Kisatchies are all pretty distinctive from each other when you know what to look for." This is a quote from KJUN, my computer broke after this post, so I haven't had a chance to ask him what he means, but will.

i will either ended up with all normales like the dad or 1/2 albino half normal. This is the dad. Was it this past saturday you were in or the one before. I had the male in at work this past saturday and had him out a few times so you may have seen him he was a big male.
