Which kind of mice is better to feed your snake, frozen or live? I am feeding my snake frozen, should I switch to live?

In my opinion (and many other people's opinion) feeding frozen-thawed is the best way to go.

There are some dangers in feeding live mice to snakes, in that the mouse will try to defend itself and can severely injure your snake....think missing eye or bleeding wound on your snake, and you'll forget about ever thinking about feeding it live mice.

If you do, for some reason, switch to live, never leave the live mouse in the snake's viv unattended.

I agree. Its much easier, safer, and relaxing to feed your little ones previously killed mice. They can seriously harm or even kill (as has happened to my cousin) your snake. I have recently switched my older corn to frozen/thawed mice after reading up on the issue.

Another option, one that i choose whenever possible is to feed freshly killed mice. That way there is no loss from freezing and its still warm so much closer to natural. Also, it has never stopped my snakes from returning to f/t when necessary.:shrugs:
