Hey guys, I'm new to this site, but not to keeping snakes and other reptiles. Recently I stumbled across a corn snake on craigslist to adopted to a good home and decided to help this person and their snake out.

I want to say it's a male who is roughly 3.5 feet long... although I haven't measured. He is very docile and takes handling very well. He is different than others I've owned due to his behavior to not stay under hides all day and actually spends most of its time in the open. The snake is feeding well and seems healthy, so I think it all comes down to "personality".

Thanks Dragonling. I'm not too familiar with corns so my best guess from looking at photos online was a salmon snow.
 
He could possibly qualify as coral, but I doubt salmon. Typically I and many others reserve those terms for corns expressing one or two copies (respectively) of the red factor gene (or one of them anyway, since there are likely a few...). Double expression is VERY bright, pretty immistakable. He could be single-expression red factor, or he could just be the result of line breeding. Either way he's a handsome fellow. :)
