What should i watch for.

I wanted to try my hand at breeding this year. I didn't brumute i just keep on feeding every week. I get plenty of natural light thru the windows into the room where the snakes are kept. The tanks get plenty of natural light into them. Both snakes are WC from Fl which is where i live so i am thinking they will get all the signs themselves.

My question is about what month would they normally go into breeding mode and what signs should i look for in getting an idea of when to pair them up. I have all the necessary items, hovabator, perilite, etc..

No i dont house house any of mine together. They both have their own 20G L tanks.

I am thinking there has to be a look she gets or a certain way they start to act. If not then there has to be a time of year that corns breed in the wild.

They generally breed in the spring in the wild. Usually after the female has her post brumation shed. Being that you didn't brumate them, you could throw them together any time now and see if the male shows any interest. He will generally follow her around and may twitch or jerk a little if he wants to mate.

Thanks for the help Mike. I will try that to see what happens. Of course we have no spring here. What was it 30 sunday morning and its 80 today. Got to love this FL weather.

Just wanted to add i feel like a dummy now. I got Kathy's book back out and reread the chapter on breeding and found all the answers there.

Its just with the warmer temps she has been more active then she ever has. Out all day cruising the Viv. Just laying around hanging out. I did put his tank next to hers and thats has caused him to start coming out more often as well and he usually never leaves his hide except to eat and poop.

I am going to start looking for signs of ovulation. I just don't want to miss my chance to pair them up.
