I know every snake is different which is kind of why I'm asking this question. My snake is about a year and a half old now and close to 30 inches at this point. Certain snakes do grow differently and he seems to be growing in inches rather than bulk. I've been feeding him 1 small mouse every week, because it seems to be an appropriate size for his girth. The thing is, I think it might not be quite enough for him.
So, I just decided to see how he would do with two small mice. I offered him the first one and he sucked it down quickly. When I offered him the second one, he didn't attack it the way he attacked the first one but he wasn't sluggish in his approach to eating. In total, he managed to eat both of the mice in about 3 minutes. He had a noticeable bulge in his stomach but it didn't look stretched to the breaking point or anything like that.
Unfortunately, I don't have pictures. I just wanted your opinion on this subject. And if you have snake of a similar size or age, I'd love to hear what you are feeding them.
