What to use for air vents?

Today I purchased all I needed, for my custom Viv project except the wood, which I am picking up tomorrow, and the air vents. I saw some like this one: Lowes Drain vent but giving it a close look seems like my snakes would be able to squeeze their bodies through it, so any suggestions?

Thanks,

Danny

If you want to use something like those vents, and are worried about snakes slipping through, you could always jury rig it by cutting a piece of window screen to fit inside of it, and then epoxy or silicone it into place.

Why not just do the back of the build out of pegboard? That's what I did. I got a piece that was painted gray on one side and it looks pretty good with the black bookcase.

Good idea Solo
