Whats better for their heatlh.....?

I've never fed any of mine anything larger than adult mice. Eldest is 22 this summer, so hasnt done any harm.

There's really no reason to move onto rats at all with corns. They do better when they're living off an adult animal that has it's bones calcified and all it's organs fully formed and what not. It's just more nutritious. If you move to rats you couldn't feed them much larger than a small juvenile rat, at which point your corn wouldn't be getting enough nutrition.
