What's the best UTH???

I use the ZooMed UTH, but it gets hot pretty easily (hence why I'm buying a thermostat). Make sure you get a size that will only cover 1/3 of your tank and keep a digital thermometer on the GLASS (or bottom of the tank) to monitor how hot it gets.

I'm currently using a Exoterra desert UTH, I hear the desert one can get a little to hot, but the temps seem within the acceptable range and winter is coming, I also hear the rain forest one is fine to use.

I've heard the rainforest one doesn't get very hot, maxing out at 80*. However depending on your climate (and considering it can get hotter in their hides) that may be just what some people are looking for.

The best UTH I've ever had was from the All Living Things corn snake kit. It doesn't heat up nearly as much as the ZooMed one, so there's no need for a temperature regulator.

I have four ZooMed UTH's and one All Living Things one. Personally, I don't think there is an UTH out there where you wouldn't need to use a thermostat or rheostat. My All Living Things UTH, as well as my ZooMeds, easily get into the 100s when not regulated.

That said, I find both of them to be good quality and I believe the ZooMed ones come with a warranty.
