When to upsize the vivarium

Hi :)

My corn snake is 3ft 7inches long and has a vivarium that is 1ft by 2ft. I have read that the snake should be the size of the tank in width and length added, and she is just over by about 7 inches!

Is it time to upgrade the viv to a larger one? Or would this one still last her a few more sheds?

Thanks

Becky

It will last a few more sheds. She's not that much over. Take a little time to shop and get exactly what you want for the long haul!

I personally would call it time to start shopping around, though there's no urgent rush or anything; I actually prefer that the snake be able, if it wishes, to stretch out fully and therefore not be longer than the longest side of the enclosure - this is not always possible but it's the target I personally aim for :)
