Where can I buy feeders individually online?

Haya Tha'baan

my little worm
I've been feeding my corn three fuzzies in lieu of a hopper. She's not eating them all anymore and I figured if I can feed her singlets, then she would eat the right amount.

The thing is, I don't want and can't store 50 hoppers. Is there a place online where I can buy them individually?

My snake is such a brat. I put the uneaten mouse in her hide and walked away, I came back and thought she had eaten it when she actually just shoved it out of her hide. I wonder why she all of a sudden is refusing multiples.

Sometimes a snake just decides it doesn't want to eat multiples. It would be very advisable to move her up to the next size, if possible. :}

Also, I know of nowhere that you can buy singles, other than what Ashley mentioned. However, The Mouse Factory (very great feeders), sells hoppers in a pack of 25. They really don't take up as much room. They're also vacuum-packed.

Hope that helps!

The shipping on mice is going to be 25-35 dollars. That makes one mouse expensive. As was said, 25 hoppers will be a package about the size of a pound of hamburger. That is your best be. If you can afford it you will save money to buy 50 hoppers.

Some random thoughts:
Perhaps you could look at ads on craigslist. Sometimes there are reptile breeders in your area who might purchase froxen food in bulk. While they are not actually advertising food for sale, they might be able to help you out. (I recently found a source for frozen rodents in my area on craigslist, which is cheaper then the mail-order source I'd been using; they do not ship though).

Check in your area for (offline) reptile/herpetology clubs. Someone there will probably not mind parting with a few extras. I would suggest at least triple bagging them in ziplock Freezer bags. Personally, I keep frozen snake chow in a small freezer in the garage, bought second hand. Don't want that stink with my food in the house.

Check with Google for regional (for you: Ohio) reptile trade shows.
Hope this helps. dp

Hmm, even if the companies did allow you to order feeders singely online, have you thought about the shipping charges. Shipping on my frozen rodent orders usually runs $65-$100. It'd cost you teh same to ship 5 feeders as it would 1000 (all will fit in the same box and still need a bunch of dry-ice for the shipping/transit)...

A bag of 50 fuzzies doesn't take up hardly any room... less than the space of a frozen pizza would in a freezer...

You might wanna try going to reptile shows/expos and or (like suggested above) get with a local herp society or reptile keeper and try to buy some from them at a price cheaper than petco.

Good luck.

Buying in person for singles is your only choice if you stick to the insistance that you "can't and won't" store feeders. I'm not trying to be mean but if you aren't prepared to properly care for the snake maybe you shouldn't have one? Maybe I'm missing something as to why you don't just buy in person if you insist on buying the ammount needed for each feeding at each feeding. A little more info would be needed to not sound as judgemental as I am sure I just came across as.
