Where to look for a vet..

I always take all my babies ( I say babies when I talk about my animals) to the vet when needed. The birds get yearly exams, and the gerbils when they are ill. But, I dont know where to find a herp vet. Are there any websites to look at for a reputable one? Or does anyone live in MN and know a good one?

Also a word of advice...if you can't find any vets near you that have been recommended by another herp owner, be very careful of picking vets from the yellow pages. There was only one vet near me that would even see reptiles, and while he was competent, he obviously hadn't had much experience with snakes. Make sure you call ahead and you may even want to ask how often the vet has seen herps recently just to make sure they have experience.
