Hi everyone!
I haven't posted in a while. I actually have 10 snakes now! Oh my gosh. It's almost been a full year since I joined this site. April is when it will be. Rogue is still great, and Wolverine is fine too. Everyone is just pretty peachy. I've got boas, my corns, and also Kenyan sand boas. lol.

Now, I thought I would be happy with one snake forever but apparently that changed a while ago. I've gone completely crazy.

Has anyone ever done that? How quickly did it take you for your snake collection to grow?I didn't expect myself to enjoy snakes as much as I do..but.. I can't help it.

Now I spend a lot of time informing people of how awesome snakes are.. My family keeps asking me how many snakes I have..and I always give them "4".. They have no clue! LOL.

My room is now crazy.

I know this post is worthless without photos.. I will post some later. Sorry I don't post much. I'll be in school and I won't have access to a computer until the weekends..

:)

 I have my one little corn, but I'm hoping that the store I got her from can order in a few rosy boas for me. After I get a rosy or two, I'll also start breeding mice so I can save money to buy perhaps a milk snake or two. I'm thinking really hard on king snakes, though, because my first encounter with one ended up with me getting bitten twice (and I bled a bit  ) and musked on. I may or may not get any more corns (because everyone has them, I like being different, and I like variety), but we'll see. I'd love to focus on getting at least one ball python, because I'd like to have a few large, heavy snakes that I can just sit with on my lap. Corns and similar snakes like moving a lot.

The only problem I see with liking snakes is that I've fallen in love with the red tail boas (what they're called in pet shops, at least). 10ft snake? Yeah, where can I find a tank/tub that big? :awcrap:

Well, I'm not quite that crazy yet....but give me time! I got my first snake in May of last year and, technically, it wasn't even mine. He was on sale at work and so I called up my fiance and said, "Hey, how'd you like a snake?". He wanted it, so I said it would be his responsibility because I have enough other pets to take care of. Well, it's pretty much my responsibility (do you see him on here??). LOL And I now have 2 more corns....

So far, the other snakes don't appeal to me, but that's probably a good thing!

I got my first two corns in Dec '09 from a local breeder, and as of right now I have 9 corns in my home and 2 if not more on the way soon :D I love them and I totally am okay with my addiction to them. Like you I thought it would be neat to have the two but little did I know exactly how neat they are. Depending on the family member, we have 6 snakes lol If they ask how many I have I usually say "I have enough" but that's apparently not the truth. Oh well.

I also try to share my love of corns with others. Some ppl are interested and appreciate the diversity in color and patterns of corns but most of them just think I'm weird. They don't know what they are missing lol.

Here's a pic of my Dum Orion.. God, he's such a butthead. He hasn't succeeded in biting me yet but he's always striking. When I got him he had 3 layers of stuck shed on his eye. I took care of it but he still strikes. If my hands end up in front of him he tries to strike.. Grr...
