Ok, my new boy FINALLY shed after the 6 days that we have had him. First, I noticed the other nice that some was flaking off, and then sometime last night he shed his ski, but it was SHREDDED. Little bit here, little bit there... three bigger pieces and about 10 little pieces. Is this ok??? Should I be concerned?

UGH! I meant to say "noticed the other NIGHT" and "last night, he shed his SKIN"!!!

Sounds like he needs a little more humidity when he's ready to shed. You can put him in a tupperware container (with a few holes), and a moist papertowel for an hour or so. Maybe do that a few times to help him shed.

Dionythicus has some good advice. If you'd like to see pictures for what you need to do, i'd suggest this thread.
Next time, you may think about trying a humid hide (you can search about it) or misting. I mist mine because they don't like using humid hides. :)

Thank you! I will do that tomorrow! He ate a little earlier so I will give him until tomorrow night to digest. He hadn't eaten in 2 1/2 weeks (and would not eat the whole time I've had him due to him being in shed).
