Witnessing the shed

Phoeb

Captain Awesome
Just wanted to share my facination with witnessing my corn shed from start to finish lol :).

Never actually seen him do it, but when I walked into my room I spotted him twisting his head upside down rubbing it on his hide, so I stood there for 10 minutes watching. It was pretty cool :D

Just thought I'd share it :D

Its total luck if you get to see it or not and also depends on how social the snake is. I have seen my small corn do it 2 times so far but i have never seen my big corn do it as he waits till there is nobody around and mainly in the small hours of the night when there is no light.

It is great to watch. I had Queenie out one evening and all she did was rub her head on me. After a couple of minutes I figured she wanted to shed so I put her back in her tank to watch her. The former owner built her this cool house sort of like a railed porch with enclosed basement. Well, she circled around this a couple of times and then caught just the right spot on a piece of slate in the tank. It was cool to see her slowly crawl forward while leaving "herself" behind. By the time she circled around her house her nose reached the nose of the shed. It was a perfect shed.
