Would this make a good hide?

I have these antique chick waterers that were my great-grandma's. They are identical to the ones in this link, but undamaged. http://www.goantiques.com/old-pottery-2304139

(I've known for quite awhile that they're valuable but don't want to sell them).

Would they make a good hide for an adult corn snake, provided it could fit comfortably through the hole? Rigby and Marcy have just recently outgrown their cool hides. It would be nice to use them for something since I don't want to sell them.

Glazed stoneware has worked pretty well for me in snake setups. I do not recommend anything made out of porous clays like Tera Cotta.

Porous claywares are difficult to keep sanitary and give a place for mold and bacteria to get established. Also avoid crackled glassware or pottery that has crackle glaze for the same reason.

It looks fine to me, and the bottom isn't filled, so you can just lift it up if they need to come out. I doubt it would fall over? That's the only thing I would be worried about, the snake crawling up on it and it falling over. That's one of the reason I don't put tall and heavy things in my tank.

Rigby says "no thumbs up!" But he has no thumbs so it's a win. ;)
No, it won't fall over. They're about 15-20 lbs at a guess, and quite stable.
