Got this handsome devil from Bailey Reptiles. He's about 8 months old, and it a normal het. hypomelanistic. I named him Ronon because I like the name, like Stargate Atlantis, and it's the first thing that popped into my head when I looked at him. He just *looks* like a Ronon. Has an attitude to match too. ;) Not even out of the shipping bag and he tried to tag me! Poor little guy is all shook up from shipping; he tried to strike a handful more times before I gently placed a paper towel over his head and he curled into a ball. Once I did that I was able to hold him a few minutes while he calmed down and uncurled a little.

Ronon's now settling into his tank so I probably won't mess with him for at least a day or two.

Aww he's cute! I bet he'll have a great home with you.

Honestly with my BP's I let them settle a full week before I held them again or really messed with them in general. They seem a lot more sensitive to relocation. It took my het pied male 3 weeks to settle in.

Ball pythons are fun snakes to own. I think he will probably calm down and be really mellow once he is used to his new surroundings. Congratulations!

Cute! He looks like Brutus, my male. And yeah mine got to settle for a couple coupl eweeks before I handled him. He's an absolute sweetheart now. :D
