My little Granite Corn, Eddie (Edvard), is the most voracious eater I've ever seen! Seriously, I have over 20 snakes now, and he is the quickest and most aggressive feeder... not only does he grab f/t mice from the tongs with gusto, but he swallows them in under 20 seconds. I'm mostly feeding him fuzzy mice these days, but if I have extra pinks I'll give him 2-3 instead of the fuzzy. He would easily take a few more, but I'm assuming that would be overkill. Tonight he ate a fuzzy AND two pinks, and was looking for more seconds later. :uhoh: What is the maximum I should feed at this age & size? He is 3-4 months old, and I'm guessing he weighs a bit over 30g.

Anyway, here's a video of his feeding earlier tonight... I started filming a second after he grabbed the pink, so this is nearly the full amount of time it takes.



And immediately after swallowing, he's already hunting for more:

That's great!! Chai is a pretty quick eater too, but not THAT fast! Maybe Eddie has dreams of being in a pinky eating competition. :)

Chai weights 40g and is eating smallish/medium fuzzies every 5-6 days. They still leave a decent sized lump in him and he seems to be growing pretty fast. I don't know exactly how old he is though. Based on what I've read it sounds like Eddie is eating the right amount, but for a maximum I'm not sure!

He is very pretty though! :)

LOL... he wants to compete against the Japanese, in those "power eating" competitions. :D

Thanks! :) He's growing at a nice rate, so I think he's doing fine thus far... though I'm sure he'd take a rabbit if I offered!

Yeah, that seems to be enough at this point. He got a TINY hopper (size of a fuzzy) this week, and it took a little longer to get down... he also looked confused at first, since it had more hair than he'd ever seen. :uhoh: But it left a perfect sized lump, so we'll stick with large fuzzies or tiny hoppers for now.
 
P.S. How do you like the video quality? I just got a new P&S digital camera (Panasonic Lumix) with HD video... pretty neat!
