Bathing Corns!

Is it safe to bath Corns or not? If it is, how deep is the water to be and how often should you do it?

I gave mine a bath because he pooed in his hide and was rolled on it.

About 3-4 inches of water for me (hes 5 years old 1.5 meter) same temperature as his water bowl . Theres no danger I mean as soon as you put the snake in the water he keeps his head out by himself.

I don't see any potential problems about a bath, just make sure the place you bath him is clean.

We take Ark out for a swim in a plastic tub once in a while. I make sure the water is slightly cool to my touch (target temp is 85ish degrees IMO), and we never leave him unsupervised. If he starts to seem at all antsy or freaked out or tired or anything, we are done. We dry him off by holding a towel or paper towel gently around him.

This is great for a bad shed or for getting a poo going. ;)

Bath tends to stress out some corns, that why I asked. I also think it overrated.

It is helpful for constipated corns and with shed issue tho.

I think it might be Nanci who takes snakes for a swim in her garden pond.....Helps to tone them. I may be mistaken to the actual who, but if it isn't her she would know so you could ask more details.

WE bathe our corns on a frequent basis. I have one that very much enjoys poo'ing in the bath. We just put an inch or two of water in the tub, block off the drain and let them go. Always supervised.

I'm trying to think of a solution to the "fecal issue." I'd really prefer Mango does it elsewhere than his house, but he makes such a disaster scene in the bath tub. I wish there was a snake toilet, large enough that the snake can swim around in until it lets loose, and then can be flushed. No mess to clean up. That would be nice...

I use a lidded kritter keeper with a washcloth on the bottom to soak my corn snakes. It is very dry here and I prefer to soak them once they're out of blue once a night than misting the tanks all day long. I have put my big snake in the bath tub, but he can't fit down the drain.

If my snakes get dirty I've used wet towels to clean them.
