Corns, corns n more corns
So i recently returned my heating lamp because everyone said that the UTH is superior, so when i returned the lamp, i bought a UTH from Petco, and I bought the the Zoo med (I think) machine that controls the temperature. So I know I still need to buy a thermostat that has a probe that I stick into the ground of the area of the UTH, and that tells me what is the actual temperature of the UTH area, could any of you post a link of a thermostat, and also, I bought the Zoo med Controller for $50, if you could also post a link to a cheaper controller that would also be much appreciated,

One more question, it says on the machine, "up" and "down", now does this machine also work as a rheostat? Does it lower and raise the temperature of the UTH, and ALSO tell me the temperature of the UTH? If so, then i can return my rheostat that i bought from Petco, and use this as a 2 in 1.
 
You can set the temperature you want it at (mine's at 85). The thermostat turns the uth on and off to maintain the temperature you've selected. I've got the probe taped down against the glass directly in the middle of the uth. The temperature only varies from 85 by approximately 2 degrees in both directions. It does eliminate the need for a rheostat.
