Nice snow you have there. Yes, a lot of snows can develop vivid pink without carrying one, or both, strawberry genes. The strawberry gene tends to make the background color very pink or red, not just the saddles. That's why some of the hypo/strawberries can be so hard to tell apart from the homo strawberries, because phenotypically they can both be really pink/red. What makes things even more difficult, is when you breed two hypo/strawberries together it's really difficult to tell the hatchling homo strawberries apart from the hatchling hypo strawberries.
