St Louis Area - Layne Labs Order

Soulwind

New member
Hey all,

I live in St. Peters MO, and will be making an order to Layne Labs for more mice early next week (waiting till after thanksgiving holiday).

If there's any members out there from the greater St. Louis area who'd like to join in on the order, just let me know.

Well, after a quick visit to the site, it seems that LL is out of stock on basically everything.

Guess I won't be putting in an order right now.

Nevermind :)

Yeah unfortunately just about everyone is and those who aren't are no longer giving discounts for bulk orders. I just recently did the same thing as you and thought I would order. I wasn't out thankfully. If the situation isn't back to normal by February I might be hurting so here is hoping they are able to get there stock back up.

I was hoping to stock up on some mice at the recent expo, but I didn't think the prices were great, so I figured I'd just order online and I always use Layne Labs! I don't have a ton of snakes to feed, so I just had to order multiple quantities of the smaller sets (which means I don't get the discount, but my snakes need to eat!).

You are always welcome to order with me and take advantage of my quantity discount. I am currently planning on ordering in February and hoping things turn around by then. Although if you need some now that doesn't help you either. Although depending on what you need you maybe able to go shopping in my freezer. lol

Haha, thank you so much! I actually already did make my order - I don't need NEED mice right now, but I want to move two of the snakes up a size and I don't have any mice in that size currently. I also wanted to make sure the shipping was worth it, so I ordered the next size after that too as well as a few other sizes that I'm low on. I always mentally compare the total cost to what the total cost would be if I bought from the Arizona Reptile Center and as long as it's lower, then I figure it's worth it.

I really like Layne Labs' quality and it never even occurred to me that they could run out of sizes! How does that even happen?

Do you still buy from RodentPro or have you switched to another company?

I have ordered from Rodent Pro and Big Cheese. I will probably stick with big cheese, TBH. Layne Labs quantity discount has not been as good as theirs but I do check every time before I order. lol

American Rodent Supply is limiting sales to only current customers that have made a purchase in the last 12 months.

Due to the overwhelming demand in rodents, American Rodent must limit sales to current customers only.

The company at the show, AZ Rodent & Reptile Supply, seemed to have plenty of stuff available. They're in Peoria, so shipping can't be that much. They do seem a bit expensive, though, and all of us AZers would have to pay taxes as well. It's an option I'll look into when the time comes. *shrug*
